What is the cost and turnaround time for a ReOC application through Flight Data Systems?
The cost is based on the time taken to process the application. Please contact FDS for an estimate. The turnaround time is on average 4-6 weeks, but can be closer to 3 weeks provided the applicant has everything ready.
If I am applying as a registered company, does the Company require its own ARN?
Yes, registered companies must have a unique ARN. This can be obtained by completing Form 1170 and sent to CASA.
Does the CEO/MD require an ARN if they are not the Chief Remote Pilot?
Yes, the CEO/MD of the company must have an individual ARN number.
How long will my initial ReOC be valid for?
The initial issue ReOC will be valid for 1 year. Any renewals are valid for 3 years.
What happens when my ReOC expires?
You will be contacted 1 month prior to the expiry and will need to renew your certificate.
Can I have a 3rd party complete my application on my behalf?
Yes, there are relevant boxes on the form to fill out for agents acting on behalf of the applicant.
Where can I find more information about RPAS licencing and certification?
Do I need to complete my ReOC application in one sitting?
No, you can come back and modify it as many times as you like before submitting it.
