This assessment is designed to assess the level of knowledge and understanding of those applicants nominated as the Chief Controller of a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) / Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
Method of Assessment
The assessor may review incorrect answers and discuss with applicant seeking further clarification.
Verbal questions and answers
Demonstration of interpersonal skills and techniques in managing and monitoring compliance with workplace procedures
An applicant is required to answer all the questions. At the end of the assessment the FDS Officer is to revise any questions, which were not answered correctly and discuss with the applicant.
*Note competency is not relative to time the importance here is the demonstration of acquired knowledge and understanding.

Application of knowledge is used on a daily basis within the position of a RPA/UAV Chief Controller.

A client requested photographic imagery of a property. Your task requires 360 degree imagery to capture the surrounding area and of the front of the house. There is a horse stud across the road and power lines between. There are also houses either side of the site. There is a hospital with a helicopter landing site 3.2nm away and an international airport 4nm away.
*The applicant should identify at least five factors to achieve full marks. Response should be consistent with the general procedures/process outlined in the OM.
