In determining if a person is a fit and proper person the applicant is to be asked the question below.
This assessment is designed to assess the level of knowledge of those applicants nominated as a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) / Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Maintenance Controller.
Method of Assessment
Oral assessment question and answers
Practical demonstration of understanding with reference to operations/flight and maintenance manuals.
Verbal questions and answers
Demonstration of interpersonal skills and techniques in managing and monitoring compliance with workplace procedures
An applicant is required to answer all the questions. At the end of the assessment the FDS Inspector is to revise any questions, which were not answered correctly and discuss with the applicant.
Note competency is not relative to time the importance here is the demonstration of acquired knowledge and understanding.
Specific Resources Required
Assessor must ensure access to appropriate regulatory guidelines and documentation including operations/flight and Maintenance manuals, specifically manuals (OM/FM/MM) CASR Regulation 101.
Unit Descriptor FDS MC
Demonstrate operational understanding of knowledge and responsibilities relating to the role of RPA/UAV Maintenance Controller.
Application of Unit
Application of knowledge is used on a daily basis within the position of a Maintenance Controller.
